音楽とアートを軸に2010年に創刊され、インディペンデントな視点でカルチャーを追い続けたnero magazineの編集長が、新たに立ち上げたニューメディア「N.E.R.O.」（エヌイーアールオー）。

その第一弾として、新たなZINEをローンチ。それを記念したスペシャルパーティが6/19、渋谷WWWで開催される。

ファウンダーの井上由紀子は、音楽ライターとして『POPEYE』をはじめ数多くの媒体で活躍し、また元祖渋谷系バンド・フリッパーズ・ギターの創世記メンバーとしても知られる人物。 90年代の東京カルチャーの熱気を知る彼女が、現在の音楽シーンとカルチャーに新たな息吹を吹き込むべく、2010年にnero magazineをインディペンデントで立ち上げた。

コロナというアーティストにとっての長い暗黒期を経て、2025年、新たなメディア＜N.E.R.O.＞を若い支持者と設立、よりグローバルな活動を再始動させる。

今回のイベントでは、＜N.E.R.O.＞第一弾に登場する3組の若手注目アーティストが出演。

さらに、この日、新しいZINEも発売される。ZINEのテーマは「ボーダレス」。

国やジャンルにとらわれない自由な発想が反映され、今の時代に必要不可欠な視点を提供する内容となっている。

この夜の意義

これはただのパーティではない。 新たなメディア＜N.E.R.O.＞誕生へ――その変化は、メディアの再起動であり、新しい時代の始まりの合図。 過去と現在が交錯し、未来を照らすカルチャーの祝祭を、ぜひ目撃してほしい。 今回の出演アーティストたちは、その「ボーダレス」なテーマにぴったりな革新的な才能を持つ、世界のニューカマーたちだ。

＜N.E.R.O.＞ is a new media project launched by the editor-in-chief of nero magazine, which was launched in 2010 with a focus on music and art and has been featuring culture from an independent perspective. As their first step, a new zine will be launched. A special party will be held at Shibuya WWW on 19th June to commemorate the launch.

The founder, Yukiko Inoue, is a music writer who has worked for “POPEYE” and many other media, and is also known as a founding member of the original Shibuya-style band Flipper's Guitar. In 2010, she independently launched nero magazine in order to breathe new life into the current music scene and culture. After a long dark period of lockdown for artists during the pandemic, in 2025, she founded a new media <N.E.R.O.> with her young supporters to re-launch a more global activity.

This event will feature three young and upcoming artists who will appear in the first phase of ＜N.E.R.O.＞ In addition, a new zine will be released on the same day. The theme of the zine is “borderless. The contents of the zine reflect free ideas that are not bound by country or genre, and offer perspectives that are indispensable in this day and age.

Performing Artists

HighSchool (Based in Melbourne)

A band to watch, HighSchool combines a gothic mood with a post-punk chill. Their sound is influenced by shoegaze and new wave, but updated with a modern sensibility.

POL (Based in Paris)

A new wave duo with a poetic and delicate sound. Their aesthetic is strongly connected to the European art scene, and their ability to express the subtleties of emotion in their sound has garnered attention.

Luby Sparks (Based in Tokyo)

A representative of Japan's indie scene, Luby Sparks has a UK indie/shoegaze background, but has gained domestic and international support for their transparent melodies and contemporary sensibility.

Significance of this night

This is not just a party. The birth of a new media platform, ＜N.E.R.O.＞—this transformation marks not only the reboot of a publication but the beginning of a new era. A celebration of culture where past and present intersect to illuminate the future, and we welcome you to witness it for yourself.
